To create an attendee group for an event, you must have published the event first. Check out this article for how to create an event.
2. Scroll down to "Attendee Groups"
3. Enter a name for your group (e.g. "Recruiters", "VIP"), and click on "Add Group"
4. If you wish to edit the group name, click on the pencil icon to edit and then the tick icon to confirm your changes
5. If you are using our API or Zapier to assign attendees to groups, you can copy the api value of a group by clicking the copy icon
If you are using our API or Zapier, please make sure to use the api value (not the group name) when setting up the workflow.
6. If you wish to delete the group, click on the trash icon
Assign Attendees to Groups
To assign attendees to these groups, you have 2 options:
- Assign via a CSV import
- Assign via our API or Zapier integration
Assign via CSV Import
You can bulk assign attendees to groups via a CSV import in your event's invitation settings.
1. Prepare your CSV file as follows:
A few important notes about your CSV upload:
- If you are using the CSV upload to assign attendees to groups, each email must have a corresponding group (if you only need to assign groups to some users, we recommend uploading 2 different CSV files)
- Ensure in the group column you use the api value, not the group name
2. Go to your event's invitation settings
3. Scroll down to Invite your guests, and click on "Import from CSV"
4. Select your CSV file and click "Upload file" - this will import all emails mentioned into your event's guest list along with their respective assigned groups
5. You should be able to see the assigned group of each invited user in your Guest List
Assign via Zapier
You can assign attendees to groups via a Zapier workflow
1. Open or create your Zapier integration
2. Use the Zapier action "Remo Conference" > "Add Attendee to Member Group"
3. Select the specific Remo event
4. Under "Group Code" either type in the group's api value if it should be the same for all users on this workflow, or insert data from previous steps if it should be dynamic
If using Zapier, please make sure the attendee groups are first created for your event.
5. Configure the attendee's email address
6. As with all Zapier workflows, test the workflow once before publishing
