Want to put an offer, announcement, or next step front and center during your presentation?
With Presentation Mode CTAs, event hosts can create and launch clickable calls-to-action directly in Presentation Mode. Whether you want attendees to book a demo, claim a discount, or register for your next event, CTAs make it easier to drive action without relying on chat messages or links shared in chat.
Let’s walk through how to create, launch, and manage CTAs during your event.

What are Presentation Mode CTAs?
Presentation Mode CTAs are clickable prompts that event hosts can launch during a presentation to highlight something important for attendees to act on.
CTAs can be shown in two formats:
Floating banner |
Center pop-up |
CTAs can only be created and launched in Presentation Mode. If you want to share an announcement or highlight something important in Conversation Mode, use Announcements or Broadcast mode instead.
How to Create a CTA
CTAs can be created and saved as drafts prior to an event starting, so they are ready to launch during the event.
1. Enter your event and switch to Presentation Mode
2. Click “More” in your toolbar
3. Click “Call-to-Action”
4. Click “Create CTA”
5. Choose your CTA type:
- Banner - this is a floating one line banner with a button at the bottom of the screen
- Popup - this is a popup with an image and expanded text shown in the center of the screen
6. Add the content for your CTA. Depending on the CTA type, this may include:
- Headline (Popup only)
- Text
- Button Label
- Button Link
- Image (Popup only)
7. Select the colors for your CTA background and button.
As you create your CTA, you can preview how it will look at the top of the dialog under Preview
8. Select when you want your CTA to dismiss or if you prefer dismissing it manually
9. Click “Save as draft” if you want to save the CTA as a draft or “Launch CTA” if you want to launch the created CTA immediately
You can save as many draft CTAs as you like
How to Launch a CTA during a Presentation

4. The CTA will immediately appear on everyone’s screen.
Only 1 CTA can be live at a time
When you’re ready to remove a live CTA, it can happen in one of two ways:
- Automatically: if you selected auto-dismiss when creating the CTA, it will disappear after the set time
- Manually: an event host can dismiss it by clicking the “X” on the CTA itself or by opening the CTA panel and clicking the Launch icon again
